Nice One!

Hi gang!

We just wanted to say another big thanks to all of you who came down to The Cornershop on Saturday night and helped make our third Bass[sic] party such a rawring success! Also massive big ups to our excellent guest DJs, Mr Cut La Roc and the man-like Merka, aka Ford Audio, for absolutely smashing the place to pieces! A notable mention should also go to our ever-reliable resident DJs who, together with our guests, formed a very juicy bass music sandwich, I’m sure you’d agree!

We’re still sifting through our photos from the night, they should be up very soon, so keep an eye on our Gallery page for updates.

The next party is on Saturday 26th of May at The Cornershop, mark it in your diaries! Full lineup and details coming soon, watch this space!

Cheers everyone!

Free Tuna

Only four more sleeps to go!

We’re getting very excited about this Saturday’s party, we’re sure you are too! To help get you into the groove for the weekend, our lovely headliners Cut La Roc and Ford Audio have each kindly given us a brand spanking new tune for your lovely ears!

First up, we have a very exciting return to form for the man formerly known as Merka. Here in his new guise, Ford Audio has created a filthy, throbby monster of a track titled Hello Stranger, heralding his return from the musical wilderness with a big fat breaky bang!

Ford Audio – Hello Stranger

And next up, our heroic headliner Cut La Roc has given a familiar Dirtybird classic a chunky breakbeat twist, bumping up the bass with his Retro Edit of Booty Clap by Kill Frenzy.

Back Once Again With The Ill Behaviour

Hi party people!

We’re proud to announce the details of our next Bass[sic] party taking place on Saturday 31st March, once again at The Cornershop, Shoreditch – mark it in your diary now! This time around we’re very excited to welcome not one but two dance music legends to the Bass[sic] decks! Read on for all the info…

* CUT LA ROC [ROCSTAR] – Lee Potter, aka Cut La Roc, made his name in the hurly-burly big beat days of the late ’90s. Signed to Skint Records, the same label as Norman ‘Fatboy’ Cook, he was responsible for pioneering the big beat sound worldwide alongside Midfield General, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Fatboy Slim himself. Cut La Roc held a four-year residency at the Big Beat Boutique in his hometown of Brighton. He’s toured all around the world, appeared on Top Of The Pops, set a new Guinness world record for DJing with the most decks at once (nine!), and has recorded with vocalists such as Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody.

* FORD AUDIO aka MERKA – Born in deepest darkest Somerset thirty odd years ago, Merka rose to the top of the international breaks scene after the release of his debut album Beserka in 2007. Releases on Re:connect, Big Square, Unstable and many others helped cement his status as a breakbeat maverick resulting in remixes for the likes of the Dub Pistols, Soul of Man and Unique 3. After a sabbatical he’s back, this time under the guise of Ford Audio. Bass[sic] will be the first place to hear Ford Audio and this new beginning for one of the scene’s most forward thinking DJs.
